Hey friends,
I hope you all are doing well and you have had the best start to the new year. Keeping you all updated, I just turned 20 years old a couple of days ago and honestly it feels as if I lost “teen” status as I am now considered to be more associated with older people, but hey as they say age is just a number. With that being said, I couldn’t be more satisfied and thankful for the past 19 years of my life and for the things I’ve learned so far and I am looking forward to learning lots of things in my twenties. Anyways your happy belated birthday wishes are accepted :)
For Jaurary’s picks, I am going to share with you a productivity tip that I’ve been using lately, my favorite tech item this month, a video I’ve been waiting for, my favorite quote this month, and last but not least a photo of me on a really special day.
🕒Productivity Tip I Day Blocking
The idea of dividing my day into specific blocks of time has helped boost my productivity to a huge extent. It’s simply dividing my day into smaller blocks where each block represents the time dedicated to completing a specific task or activity. Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve replaced my to-do lists with these time blocking as it’s more effective not just in telling what I need to do, but also when I’m going to do it, which gives me more clarity and direction so that I wouldn’t get distracted thinking too much about which task to start with, etc.
The trick here is that you overestimate how much these specific tasks are going to take and you need to be generous with time as we humans tend to underestimate certain tasks. Additionally, you need to leave at least two backup hours with no tasks or breaks or anything, you simply leave these couple of hours for emergencies when things that are not under your control show up.
You can do time blocking in lots of different ways. The best apps that offer this feature are TickTick, Todoist, and Google Calendar, or, as I prefer, you can simply use sticky notes, block your day, you just stick them on your disk so that you always have an eye on them.
📱Tech Items I lightning Kit
This lightning Kit from Godox has been a really useful piece of tech since I bought it. I have been using this kit as the main source of lighting for shooting my videos as well as online meetings, but also when in the need of a reliable lightning source for any reason. It has entirely changed the game for the quality of my videos. The I love the most about it is its practicality and minimalist look.
