Stuff I Enjoyed This Month I September's Picks
Productivity Tip I Studying App I Spotify Playlist I Video I Quote of The Month.
Hey friends,
In September’s picks, I am going to share with you a productivity tip, a simple yet effective Pomodoro app, my favorite Spotify playlist so far for studying/working, and the quote for this month.
💡 Productivity tip I The Daily Highlight
Not long ago, I used to have a long to-do list with every little thing I need to do on a specific day and I was struggling all day to cross things off only to find at the end of the day that two things happen.
That was the case till I came across the idea of “Daily Highlight” which is a simple productivity method for choosing the one task you have to get done before the day ends. It's about being intentional about the few productive hours of the day instead of switching between many seemingly urgent but unimportant tasks. At the end of the day, you will be certain that you finished your one true most important task. The one that drives you forward.

💻 App I Pomofocus
If you happen to be reading my Monthly Picks for a while, you certainly know that I am a big fan of the idea of dividing my big tasks into small chunks as a more effective way of completing these tasks, and that is basically what the Pomodoro technique is all about. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. So recently, I’ve been using Pomcofocus quite a lot and it turned out to be my go-to place due to its simplicity and effectiveness. Among the features I liked about this app are color transitions (work time vs rest time) and audio notifications at the end of a timer period.
🎵 Spotify Playlist I Instrumental Study
Instrumental music is one of the best options for enhanced learning without getting distracted but finding the right songs can be tricky when you're accustomed to songs with lyrics. Therein lies the value of this dedicated playlist, which removes lyrics from the mix. This playlist gets you easily in the mood and the flow of concentrating. Piano is heavily represented on this playlist, although some percussive elements and other instruments can also be found on certain tracks as there are over three hundred songs in this playlist.
